Radical Buddhism Project

James Mark Shields, Professor of Comparative Humanities and Asian Thought at Bucknell University, and Lajos Brons have launched The Radical Buddhism Project: A Text Archive and Encyclopedia. Beginning with East Asian materials, the Project will gradually expand to include sources from South and Southeast Asian Buddhist traditions.

The Radical Buddhism Project is an independent, collaborative digital humanities archive and research portal dedicated to recovering, preserving, translating, and contextualizing the historical intersections of Buddhist doctrine with radical left-wing socio-political thought. The Project is intended as a growing scholarly community as well as a digital resource, and welcomes the participation of scholars and interested students who would like to contribute primary texts, translations, research, or other forms of collaboration. The website can be found at: The Radical Buddhism Project
